This five-day course designed for those who may be responsible
for managing health and safety in the workplace or those
wishing to train health and safety at the basic level
in the future. The course covers a wide range of subject
matter including: UK and European legislation, COSHH,
occupational health, work station assessment. Upon completion
of the course delegates are required to complete two assignments
and a three-hour written exam approx four after the course.

Safety
This 3 day training programme provides an opportunity
to look more deeply into general health and safety from
a supervisory perspective, and successful delegate will
be able to help their organisation whatever the size or
activity in improving the health and safety culture. Examination
is by way of a 60 question multiple-choice questionnaire,
which can be completed, on-line if preferred.

A one-day course aimed at all employees designed to give
a basic introduction to health and safety in the workplace
covering many aspects of health and safety this course
can be structured to suit any work environment. The day
concludes with a thirty question multiple-choice examination.

A course designed to introduce delegates to the control
and safe handling of substances hazardous to health. Subjects
covered include: definition and types of substances in
the workplace health effects of hazardous substances,
carrying out COSHH assessments and control options, responsibilities
imposed by COSHH regulations. |

People Handling
Conducted by a RoSPA registered trainer and assessor this
one day course is aimed at anyone who as a part of their
work is involved in the movement of people. Conducted
in our dedicated handling suite this course covers both
theory and practical aspects of moving and transferring
and offers the opportunity to solve may of the handling
problems faced by people in the care sector whether residential
or in the community.

CIEH
Risk Assessment Principles and Practice
A properly implemented risk assessment programme can assist
in the prevention of injuries, fatalities, damage to property
and other losses. This programme is designed for anyone
with responsibility for conducting general risk assessments
of work areas or activities. It is particularly useful
for managers and supervisors but it will be equally beneficial
to individual workers, team leaders, and self-employed.
Previous attendance of Basic Health & Safety Training
is an advantage.
Of one-days duration each delegate completes a post course
assignment, which is submitted for marking by the course
tutor. |
